Simple Moisturizing Face Wash Review (10/5/2018)

Hey beauties! Today I am reviewing Simple Skincare’s moisturizing face wash, this face wash is meant to cleanse your skin but still leave it hydrated. It’s a gentle cleanser which is great for sensitive skin yet it works for all skin types. The face wash has Pro-Vitamin B5, Vitamins E and Bisabolbol. This is meant for everyday use.

The packaging of this product wasn’t the worst I’ve ever seen but it also wasn’t the best. It’s just a simple squeezable tube with a latch cap. I personally would much rather a pump but since this is affordable I cannot complain. I do like the white and green color scheme though. The colors of the bottle helps their message of not having additives because it has a natural and organic look to it.

I got this cleanser from Walmart for $5.99, it is 5oz of product which is a decent amount for it only being $5.99. I have dry and sensitive skin so I figured this would be great for the time being. I was washing my face and using this as a in-shower makeup remover as well. For a makeup remover I don’t suggest it, I still found some makeup residue on my skin but I also wear a lot of makeup. I would suggest removing your makeup before you use this product. I did feel that after a second wash (since I needed to get all of the makeup off first), it did clean my skin. My skin didn’t feel dry but it also didn’t feel necessarily hydrated either. I applied facial cream to my face every night to moisturize my skin after using this.

LEH Soap Company Haul (8/17/2018)

Hey everyone! I wanted to share a haul about a business that is in a beautiful place in New Jersey called Smithville. I visit Smithville a lot for date nights with Ryan and I never miss a chance to visit this bath shop when we go. I am obsessed with this shop and anytime we go I always leave with something! They have other shops in New Jersey and another in Delaware. I have the website linked below if you’d like to shop for products or see where the nearest LEH Soap Company is to you!

This time I went I of course did my ritual of walking around to smell the soaps, test the body scrubs, and try out the hand creams. It always smells so amazing in there! I somehow wandered to an adorable display piece of a bathtub with a ton of bath fizzies placed inside. I honestly wanted to buy the whole display and bring it home but instead I settled on picking out a bath fizzie for myself. I loved all of the scents but I really wanted the Jasmine because I was completely obsessed with the scent. I also wanted a mint scented soap but I stopped myself. I needed to have some self control since I have 4 other soaps to use before I can allow myself to splurge and get another.

Luckily, when you check out, they usually throw in a generous size sample of soap in your shopping bag! I didn’t realize until I got home that it was the same mint soap I wanted to purchase! I can’t wait to do a review on the products I got! Also, I promise I will do a review for any product I get from here in the future as well. This store has amazing homemade products that are affordable and just as good as Lush or Bath And Body Works products. If you want to checkout any of their items here’s the link to the online store: LEH Soap Company.

Vacation Skincare Routine (8/1/2018)

Hey everyone, I am still on vacation [mode] and I couldn’t more excited to share my vacation skincare routine with you all. Sometimes I feel that when it comes to vacation, skincare is left out and last thought. So, I figured I would share how I make sure to keep my skin looking fine on vacay.

The first thing to discuss is what products I use. I use:

– Frank Body Exfoliator

– Purity by Philosophy Facial Cleanser

– Neal’s Yard Remedies Toner

– Tarte Drink Of H2O Moisturizer

– COOLA Facial Sunscreen

I try to pick the best products and brands that work best with my skin and these are what I have come up with. Luckily for me, these are all just under 3 oz of product. Which means, this will all fit into a quart size bag and can be brought on the carry on. I love how well these products work and that I can bring them on-the-go with me.

So my skincare routine is done in six different steps:

Step 1: Take Off Makeup

I usually do this with a makeup wipe and then cleanse my face with the Purity by Philosophy cleanser. Even if you aren’t wearing makeup make sure you clean off any sunscreen/B.B. Cream etc. you were wearing during the day.

Step 2: Exfoliate

This is definitely an important step while on vacation because if you end up having peeling skin from sunburn or dry/dead skin from being in the sun/ocean/pool etc. you’ll need to exfoliate that dead skin off.

Step 3: Cleanse

I cleanse my skin with the Purity by Philosophy cleanser because it’s gentle enough for my sensitive skin but cleans the skin very well. This is also an important step as well because you will want to remove any leftover impurities in your skin.

Step 4: Tone

Toning just adds another level of clean to the skin. It also help take away uneven skin tone as well which could happen from your skin being irritated from being exposed to the sun, salt water etc.

Step 5: Moisturize

There’s a lot of drying environmental factors while on vacation so I recommend getting a moisturizer that works well for your skin. You don’t want to have sunburn or dried out skin from the salt water and not have a good moisturizer to help! Skipping this step could really damage your skin.

Step 6: Sunscreen

Sunscreen is so so important while on vacation. It can be a step that is easily forgotten– your then left regrettably burnt, and peeling. So it’s imperative to protect yourself from the suns harmful rays. An easy way to never forget is to use it in your skincare routine.

Kocostar PR Package Unboxing And Product Review (7/29/2018)

Kocostar is the best at home beauty treatment brand I’ve come to find. I am super happy I found this brand because they offer at home treatment options from haircare to nails to skincare to face products. When I use this brand it’s almost like I have a spa inside my home.

Previously, I’ve written a post on this brand and explained how innovative the brand was because of their face masks. If you want to checkout the post on Kocostar’s Face Masks here’s the link: Kocostar Slice Sheet Mask Review ! I was lucky enough to get a PR package of their summertime products to test out. I was overjoyed when I got the package in the mail and immediately opened it up and tested a product.

The first product I tested was the Hand Moisture Pack. This is a mask to rejuvenate and moisturize your hands. I’ve never used a hand mask before but I have heard of them! I was super excited to test out my first hand mask, I have to say it is a strange experience (almost as strange as my first sheet mask experience) but it’s definitely something I could get used to. I was always told as a child to put Vaseline on my hands and put cotton gloves on to keep them smooth. I say ditch the Vaseline gloves because these hand masks work wonders. This does an even better job at moisturizing my hands than the Vaseline trick, and they feel more hydrated now more than they ever have. I feel that lotion only went over the surface of the skin but this definitely penetrated the skin. I feel that this mask actually helped with the smoothness and softness of my hands, rather than masking the problem by giving a quick solution like some hand lotions.

The next product I tested out was the Long Hair Pack. This is a hair wrap that deep conditions the hair. The Long Hair Pack is designed for long hair to hydrate and rejuvenate dry and damaged hair. I don’t have long hair but I decided to test it out anyway because it should work on short hair too! I have extremely dry hair, it’s mostly because my hair is naturally curly which means I’m predisposed to having dry hair. I also treat my hair with bleach to make it a lighter blonde than my natural blonde hair, which just adds to the dryness. So, I need to take care of my hair to ensure that it looks good and stays healthy. I felt that the hair wrap might not work as well for me since it is designed for long hair but I personally felt it worked extremely well for me! After using this hair wrap, my hair felt silky smooth and hydrated– almost as if I just got a fresh haircut and blowout. I styled my hair and there was no frizz, even though it was very humid out.

The last product I tested was the Foot Moisture Pack. This is a foot mask, another kind of mask I have never tried before. This mask is meant to moisturize your skin on your feet. Like the Vaseline gloves I was also always told to wear socks with Vaseline to make my feet soft and it does work over a long period of time. After trying this foot mask out I was very impressed with the results just after one use (which was only 20 minutes). I definitely saw that the skin on my feet was moisturized. Although the Vaseline and sock trick does work, I would much rather do the 20 minute foot mask because the results are faster and it takes less time to do them.

I loved everything I got and recommend testing these products out yourself. This company is amazing and I found a lot of their products in Target and you can get what you saw in this post on their website:! I hope you enjoyed this post and remember to subscribe for email notifications for when I post new content. Comment down below what products from Kocostar you want to try!

Weird Beauty Find: Dollar Tree Bath Bombs?! (7/18/2018)

As I was browsing the Dollar Tree recently I was completely surprised at the fact that there were bath bombs at the store! I was half sketched out and half curious as to how good these bath bombs are. So I decided to take the leap and I purchased them to find out if these are legit or if I’ll end up growing a third arm.

Dollar Tree items aren’t always sketchy, I am probably keeping my local Dollar Tree in business with all of the shopping I do there. Regardless, there are still some things that I, personally, get skeptical about trying from any dollar store. Bath bombs being one of them. I’m not sure why dollar store bath bombs sketch me out, but I think it’s because I have a fear of getting a rash or bad skin reaction. Where sometimes, products that are sold in the dollar store have chemicals inside that could easily have a bad reaction with skin or dangerous if eaten etc. For example, some toys at the dollar store are imported from other countries and contain lead which isn’t deemed safe. So considering this had no brand name on it, it didn’t make me feel any more comfortable.

Despite all of my fears of what could happen I just went for it. The bath bomb I tested was the green and yellow butterfly. Once I opened it, I got an amazing whiff of lime or just a citrus scent in general. At least I know that the bath will smell nice!

I threw this bath bomb in the water and it immediately started fizzing, which is a great sign! After a while of fizzing the bath water smelled like citrus, this made me happy because the water didn’t dilute the scent.

It was fizzing like any normal bath bomb you’d get from Target or a drugstore. It took about six minutes for the whole bath bomb to wither away (including the little pieces that broke off)!

The results were great, the water is a bright lime green and the water smelled amazing. Afterwards, I added some bubbles and took a bath. During my bath everything seemed normal and when I got out I didn’t get a rash like I initially thought. My skin didn’t feel like it was moisturized or scented from the bath bomb, so I think the bath bomb was mainly for the water and nothing else.

Overall, this bath bomb worked pretty well for $1! I like that these did the same job as the $8 ones. If you are looking for cheap bath bombs for yourself or as a gift, these could be a more affordable alternative. I’m really happy with my purchase and I recommend trying these bath bombs out.

I hope you enjoyed this post and remember to subscribe for email notifications for when I post new content and comment down below what you think about these bath bombs!

Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Eye Mask Review (6/30/2018)

Hey beauties! I’m back with yet another eye mask to review. This time I am reviewing Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Eye Mask. This eye mask has anti-aging products in its ingredients and is made to smooth out the under eye area. I was super excited to try this mask because I love Shiseido skincare.

First off, the packaging for this eye mask is unbelievable! Such a cute and chic package for one eye mask, I also love the pearl pink color the packaging has. This eye mask retails for $65 for a 12-pack and $17.50 for a three pack at the Shiseido counter in Macy’s.

These are cotton like eye masks and they have a nice fragrance to them. I left them on for 15 minutes, as instructed, and I could definitely feel them working as they gave my skin a warm tingling feeling. After the 15 minutes was up I could definitely tell my under eye was smoother and I no longer had dark rings under my eyes.

As for the anti aging, I like to use anti aging products because it’s never too early to prevent wrinkles and I feel that anti aging products make the skin smoother and more supple. This eye mask did just that and I really liked them. They seemed like a luxurious product as do most Shiseido products. I recommend trying them out!

Bela Products Review (6/29/2018)

Hey beauties! I got an amazing chance to test some free products from Bela Premium Pure Natural Products. I previously wrote a post about one of their bath bombs, which if you haven’t read here’s the link: Bela Premium Luxury Bath Bomb Review! I am so thankful to be able to test out these products and I am equally just as excited.

So, I was given three bar soaps in Oatmeal and Milk, Pure Goat Milk Soap, and Lavender And Flowers. I was also given two of their Nature’s Bees Cocoa Butter Olive Oil chapsticks! I took three showers and tested each soap and I will explain my reviews on each product later. First, let’s talk about the look of these products. I am super obsessed with the look of these soaps I love that you can see the little pieces of flower, oatmeal etc. in detail on each soap. I also think the stamps they use on these soaps are very cute. I ended up putting these on display in a soap dish in my bathroom because it looks very luxurious. I can tell that these are long lasting bars of soap because when placed on the soap dish, that is sometimes wet, the soap doesn’t wither away like other soaps I’ve tried. I am already loving these products!

For my first shower I used the Oatmeal and Milk soap. This soap had a naturally good scent and it didn’t take long to lather up! After this shower I felt that this soap moisturized my skin really well and it almost felt like I didn’t even need to put on any lotion after the shower (which is something I normally do).

For my second shower I tested the Lavender and Flower soap. Of course, if you have been reading my blog for a while, you know I am in love with floral scents. So with that being said this soap was already a winner from the beginning. After my shower my skin felt very clean and I still had the floral scent on my skin!

During my third shower I tried the Pure Goat Milk Soap. This soap actually didn’t have a scent that I could smell but it was my favorite out of each soap I tried. With having dry skin it is hard to find soaps that don’t strip away the natural oils within your skin leaving your skin even more dry than before. The Goat Milk Soap gave me the ultimate hydration I needed for my skin. My skin did not only feel soft and not dry at all but my skin looked supple. This soap pleasantly surprised me.

I later on tested out the Nature’s Bees Cocoa Butter Olive Oil chapsticks and I am super happy with them! I really think the packaging gives off an all natural product vibe but I personally am not crazy about the look of the wrap packaging for the chapsticks mostly because I usually purchase items appealing to the eye and this color scheme wouldn’t jump out at me.

But besides the packaging I love the product (which is was really matters)! Out of the two I received, I really loved the mango scented one because it smelled amazing and I was tempted to lick my lips all day. These definitely helped moisturize my lips and actually helped with my lips since they were slightly chapped.

I am so happy that I was given the opportunity to test out these products and I recommend trying them out for yourselves! Here is the link to their website: Bela Soap!

Que Bella Moisturizing Gel Eye Mask Review (6/28/2018)

Hey beauties! I recently purchased this Que Bella eye mask because it’s an eye mask for moisturizing (which, since I have dry skin, this is perfect for me) but also I noticed that it comes with three eye masks in one package. I thought this was a steal considering it only cost me $2.99!

The Que Bella packaging is always super cute for their face masks and eye masks especially considering the price of them. I really like that a lot of their masks are either metallic and/or have bright colors. This makes it easier to distinguish what each face mask is for.

I was overly excited that one package of eye masks came with three pairs. I was worried that if I opened the package, I’d need to use the three pairs right away. This was not the case, the three pairs of eye masks came in three separate little packages so I still got an amazing deal for $2.99!

These eye masks are different from any other ones I’ve used before as well. They weren’t wet! The top of the eye mask had a cotton feel to it and the bottom of the eye mask (the part you place on your face) had gel. The eye mask was not wet but when you put it on your skin you immediately feel the mask working. It was a very interesting experience. After I took the masks off I noticed less puffiness under my eyes and also my skin felt hydrated. I recommend trying this out, I purchased mine at Target!

Garnier Moisture Bomb Sheet Mask Review (6/24/2018)

Hey beauties! Garnier came out with sheet masks recently and I have been waiting to try them. I held off for a while because there were so many things I was already reviewing that there was no time to sit down and try multiple skincare products, new makeup and other blog posts I’ve planned. But thankfully I found some time to review these masks and tell you all how they are!

I tested out the Super Hydrating Mask (the blue one that smelled like pomegranates) and Ryan tried the Super Hydrating Mask Mattifying (the green one that smelled like aloe). These masks are different from ones I’ve tried previously. Instead of peeling the plastic of the sheet mask before you apply it to your face, you are instructed to apply the sheet mask and peel off the plastic backing after it is on your face.

Similarly to other sheet masks, you must smooth the mask out and leave it on for 15 minutes. After the 15 minutes, you are instructed to rub the remaining products into the skin. This wasn’t any different than a lot of other masks I’ve tried but Ryan and I had to help each other smooth the masks out since we didn’t have a mirror.

I waited my 15 minutes in my at home spa to truly relax while testing out this face mask. I even added some tropical scents to my spa for a relaxing aroma as well! Once I applied my mask I had a cooling sensation on my skin. I have done face masks in the bath before but never in a spa, it was a very nice and different experience.

After I rubbed the remaining product into my skin I definitely felt that my skin was hydrated. My skin type is dry and with dry skin sometimes the skin becomes dull, this mask definitely brightened my skin a tad as well. Ryan said that his skin felt “moisturized but not oily anymore,” which was great for him since he has oily skin. We both really enjoyed these masks and it was a worthwhile purchase!

Fab First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads Review (6/13/2018)

We have all been there… that night where you are supposed to exfoliate and tone your skin but you are just way too tired or lazy to get it done. Well I found a solution to those nights when I stumbled upon Fab First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads. These have changed the game of skincare for me and I’m overjoyed that I found them!

These Facial Radiance Pads are supposed to help exfoliate, tone and brighten the skin. There’s only one small step that has to be done to complete three skincare steps with this product and to me that sounds like a godsend. These pads only cost $15 at Sephora for the half size and $30 for the full size.

When I used this pad, my skin definitely felt exfoliated but I wouldn’t recommend using this to replace your actual exfoliator because it’s not an abrasive pad so it won’t get off all of the dead skin. The redness on my skin went away a little bit which is from the toner and my skin definitely looked a little brighter. I recommend trying these pads out because they are definitely good for on-the-go but also if you are too tired to do a full-on skincare routine.

I hope you enjoyed this post and remember to subscribe for email notifications for when I post new content.
