Backyard Floral Oasis DIY

Hey y’all! It’s been a while since we’ve done a DIY post so I figured I would show a DIY that I’ve recently done for my backyard. I am always looking for ways to make my backyard better and especially my side yard that seems to always be a hot mess that can never be cleaned up (lol)! Finally, I was able to fix up my side yard this year with help from my best friend and from Ryan. To pull the whole backyard together I decided to do a DIY with Ryan’s help. We made this:

It looks amazing and I’m in love with the final product but you’ll definitely need a few things to get there, here are the supplies you’ll need:
  • 2 wooden pallets
  • Screws
  • Drill
  • 6 plastic flower pots (dollar tree)
  • 2 metal flower pots (dollar tree)
  • 8 different small flowers
  • Potting soil
  • Top soil
Now that you have all of your supplies you’ll need to know the steps to get there:
Step 1: Take a whole wooden pallet and secure it to the fence with screws
Step 2: Cut the other wooden pallet in half and secure that piece, with the slots facing up, to the full wooden pallet that is against the fence, making an L shape.
Step 3: Take your flower pots and figure out where you want to place them. I did mine in a random zig-zag fashion so they all look scattered.
Step 4: Screw the flower pots to the full-size pallet and fill them with your flowers.
Step 5: For a more flowery look, take top soil and fill the half pallet’s slots with top soil and plant flowers in between all of the slots and you’re finished!
I hope you enjoyed this post and remember to subscribe for emails to be notified for when I post new content and make sure to comment down below what you think about this DIY!
