A Four Year DIY: Ryan and My Date Scrapbook

Hi everyone! I am feeling very happy today because I finally finished a DIY I have been working very hard on over the past 4 years. Yes, that is how long it took me and yes I am THAT MUCH of a perfectionist. I like to blame by perfectionism on the fact that my ascending sign is Virgo. But anyway… What DIY could have possibly taken me this long?

It was a scrapbook!

Of course, I am a bit excessive because it took me so long but it had a lot to do with the fact that I kept working at finishing it bit by bit. It took 4 years because I was focused on doing so much that I wouldn’t always work on it. But I promise you there is more to this scrapbook than I lead on! I am a huge picture person and I have always taken tons of pictures (even before smartphones were a thing).  I print all of the pictures Ryan and I take for each year that we are dating and I (attempt to) make a scrapbook for each year. I only finished the first year we’ve been dating completely.

Ryan and I worked on it together for a little bit as a date night thing but then it kind of became a fun thing for me to initiate on my own and put all of my creative energy towards. I really love working on the scrapbook together but sometimes I am more in the mood to do arts and crafts than Ryan, so when that happens I focus on trying to get the scrapbook done! And here is the final product of my 4 year DIY project:

I am so happy with how it came out and I definitely suggest this type of project for anyone that is a picture person and likes to do arts and crafts. I hope you enjoyed this post and the small look into the first year of Ryan and my relationship. Make sure you subscribe for emails to be notified when I post new content. Comment down below the time it took for you to complete your longest DIY (procrastination time included lol)!
