DIY Jewelry Tray Gift

Hey y’all! I hope you’re all having a great day today. I wanted to drop in and share an awesome DIY project that I had done recently. As I am preparing for Ryan’s 21st birthday, I wanted to give him something special aside from other extravagant gifts. Sometimes you need a little sentimental to balance materialistic things. This is the perfect gift to do just that and it takes less than 20 minutes to make!

• 1 Wooden Tray (I got mine at Michaels for $1)

• Mod Podge (They sell small bottles at the Dollar Tree)

• A paint brush (Also purchased from Dollar Tree)

• A printed picture on regular printer paper

• Scissors

Step 1:

Take your wooden tray and measure the inside square. Next, print out the picture you want in the tray. Cut the picture to the measured size.

Step 2:

Take the mod podge and apply a thin layer of mod podge to the bottom (inside) of the tray. Make sure the product is evenly spread and reaches all corners.

Step 3:

Take printed photo and place the photo inside of the tray with the photo facing outwards. Press the photo down completely in the tray and make sure to press down the corners. Insure there are no air bubbles. Next, apply mod podge on top of the photo in the tray.

Step 4:

Spread the mod podge on the bottom of the tray with the paint brush. Make sure to do this step evenly and let dry for at least a couple of hours before using. Mod podge usually dries quickly but the picture might still be too soft to be used.

Finished Product:
