Spring Skincare

I love to prepare for the seasons when it comes to skincare. I do this because with different season comes different weather conditions that can impact your skin in a variety of ways. For example, in the winter you have to make sure you moisturize a lot because of the dry weather. So what is my recommendation for spring skincare?

I say to definitely use a cleaner that also duals as a waterproof makeup remover! With spring here you might be more inclined to use a waterproof mascara which will call for a waterproof makeup remover to take it off. I recommend Tarte’s Rainforest Of The Sea cleansing gel!

As an exfoliator you will want to use something that helps minimize the appearance of pores. Springtime and summertime can cause your pores to become larger because warm and humid weather causes more oil and the oil can cause your pores to become enlarged. I recommend using dr.brandt’s PoreDermabrasion.

For masks you will definitely want something that detoxes the skin as well as brighten the skin. After a long winter you might have duller skin so a brightening mask will do the trick to make that skin bright and lively again! A detoxing mask can help get rid of any leftover dead skin from the winter months. You can interchangeably use both or double-mask it (which means do two masks in one night) just don’t do face masks for more than 3 days a week! I recommend Que Bella peel off and LOreal clay masks.

For a moisturizer you should use something lightweight. Since this weather can make your skin more oily, you don’t want to use a moisturizer that will make the oil worse. I think water based moisturizers are the best lightweight moisturizers. Tartes Drink Of H2O is something I recommend using for this!

Eye creams are also really great to use all year round but tired eyes seem to be more prevalent for college students in the spring semester. So to awaken the eyes with a eye cream that brightens and is anti-aging. I recommend Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Creme or Estee Lauder’s Resilience Lift!

I hope you enjoyed this post and remember to subscribe for email notifications for when I post new content!
