Hair Products I Use

I love hair products, even though I would much rather get my hair done everyday, that’s not practical. So I have a few hair products that I love to use and make the job of doing my hair easier.

Hair Serum

First and foremost, everyone should use serums on their hair. This really helps with protecting your hair and helps keeping the frizz to a minimum. It also helps it shine beautifully! I have used Matrix Exquisite Oil for about 4 years now and it always does the job for me!

Leave-In Conditioner

This is a curly haired girls best friend! Leave-in conditioner helps keep your hair smooth and less frizzy. For girls that have curls, this will help tame the mane! I have used this Regis DesignLine Olive Oil Leave-in conditioner for 4 years and it is always my go-to.

Heat Protectant

If you ever use heat on your hair, you definitely need to make sure that you’re using a heat protectant. This will help protect your hair from things like straighteners, curling irons, and beach waver tools. For heat protection I use Living Proof straight spray.

Humidity Protection

Mother Nature can force you into a bad hair day. If you have straightened your hair and it immediately turned into waves as you step outside, or if you curled your hair and it falls pain straight, you know exactly what I’m talking about. But thankfully if you have a humidity protection product, it can help alleviate the frizz. I use Living Proof humidity shield spray!

The best detangler I have ever used is Suave Kids Detangler. A detangler is a product you spray in your hair to help untangle hair making it easier to brush, but also makes the hair more silky. I use the Suave Kids Apple Detangler (plus, it smells amazing)!

Blow Drying Balm

Blow drying balms help keep the hair silky, and fights frizz as you are blow drying your hair. It will give you a smoother look! I use IGK’s Mistress hydrating balm.

Cleansing Conditioner

Cleansing conditioners are amazing! You use a cleansing conditioner when you want to hydrate your hair but not strip it from its natural oils (like you do when you shampoo your hair). Using this will help you cleanse your hair but also help keep your hair hydrated. I use IGK’s Smoke and Mirrors Conditioning Cleansing Oil.

Hairspray locks your style in place and even can add some shine to your hair! I have used Redken Triple Take 32 Extreme High Hold Hairspray for a while and quickly fell in love. It holds my hair very well and I love that it comes out of three dispensers at once!

Texturizing Spray

Texturizing sprays give a sort of toughness to the hair, making it matte. I use texturizing spray to give my hair a little bit of lift (this can also be achieved by dry shampoo)! IGK’s Beach Club texturizing spray is what I choose to use.

Hair Mask

Sometimes I like to do a deep conditioning hair mask to rejuvenate my hair. Hair masks are used to make the hair smoother and more moisturized! I use the brand HASK’s monoi coconut oil hair mask.

Dry Shampoo

Last but not least, every college kids best friend! Dry shampoo! This product is used to help make shiny, dirty and oily hair appear to be clean and matte! Like I stated before, dry shampoo can also be used as a texturizing spray. My favorite dry shampoo is Amika: Perk Up Dry Shampoo!

I hope you enjoyed this post and comment down below what products you use!
