Farsali Jellybeam Illuminator Review

A huge rave that came about this month was the Jellybeam Illuminator by Farsali. Some also call it the slime highlighter because of its goopy texture. I was excited when I saw this on Sephora.com! I ordered it and couldn’t wait to try it out!

The unicarton is super cute but similar to other Farsali products packaging! The pure white with gold lettering is a classic look for this company.

The highlighter itself is a little bit smaller than I expected. Even with its smaller size, I don’t think I’d run out of the product fast because of the texture! The packaging for the product itself is super cute, it’s also heavy and feels expensive! You definitely get your money’s worth with this highlighter.

This Jellybeam Illuminator is in the shade Glazed and seems to be a dusty gold color. Fair warning, the packaging isn’t as cute when you flip it over to the glass side. This is because the jelly product falls off the glass leaving the jar looking slightly empty or used.

When I opened the highlighter, I expected a smooth textured product like the toy slime kids play with! Instead, I got a lumpy and chunky looking product. Apparently this is totally normal, but it still freaked me out.

For the texture itself, it is pretty gross. I really didn’t enjoy the mucous-like feeling of the highlighter but it did its job. This highlighter is amazing despite the awkward feeling of it.

It gave a beautiful wet golden glow to my wrist. This was only one application and is even more blinding when built up. I tested it on my face makeup and it didn’t move the powder on my face at all. This is definitely a novelty for a makeup collector but if you are weird with texture, it’s not for you!

I hope you enjoyed this post and comment down below if you’d like to try this highlighter!
