Rushing For A Sorority: My Experience

As a sophomore I wanted more out of my college experience. I went from being extremely involved in high school to barely involved in college. The drastic change really put me in a rut, but it made me realize that I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself. The way to do that was to join a sorority. Sororities give leadership opportunities, teach you time management, gives you opportunities for community service, and shows you the way of sisterhood!

I went out on my own for recruitment but I feel it was better to be on my own than to have someone else influence my decision on what sorority to choose. In my experience I knew where I wanted to be, and which sorority to choose because I didn’t want to leave after every round. I also felt I was able to be myself. Once I got into the sorority I wanted I felt accepted! Then I got swarms of support and lovely messages on my social media posts. Everything felt so genuine, and that’s when I knew I was home.

This was my experience joining a sorority and I hope this gave you a better perspective of what you should expect if you are thinking about joining! Comment down below if you’re in Greek life or interested in joining!
