One of the cutest palettes on the market right now– the Boss Lady Beauty Agenda by Too Faced! Such a cute idea/theme, and with tons of fun looking shades to play with!
The packaging it came in was super cute! This look of the packaging reminded me of an advent calendar. I also really like the inspirational “Best Year Ever 2018” on the box.
The palette was a lot bigger than I expected and I was pleasantly surprised that the outside casing has a leather feel to it. Just the outside of the palette alone, I can tell that you definitely get your money’s worth since it feels extremely luxurious.
The inside is super cute, after you unzip the leather casing it looks like an actual planner, and it comes with a little mirror, a pouch and a band to hold a pen or makeup brush! I also want to take this time to appreciate the cute gold tassel attached to the zipper.
The palette itself seems a little thin packaging wise but it’s not a major problem. I’m almost positive it’s meant to feel like the backing of a hardcover planner, which it does. There’s a good amount of product for each eyeshadow as well, it’s about the same as any Chocolate Bar Palette. It’s also pretty vibrant in its color scheme.
Another pleasant surprise was that this palette actually comes with a planner! I bought this without realizing that it actually has a useful planner inside! Inside the planner it has motivational phrases, cute artsy sketches, and it even has many different eyeshadow looks you can do with the palette!
The first few swatches I made really impressed me. There’s so much pigmentation and they go on very smoothly. I really liked how the neutral colors blended as well! From these swatches my favorites were, Christmas Dream which was a metallic baby pink, I Want It All which is a tan with gold sparkles, Love Actually which is a mauve pink, Jolly which is a dark turquoise, and Deck The Malls which is a gorgeous lavender!
While swatching the second set of eyeshadows I really started to like how smooth the metallic colors were! I was disappointed that Slay Bells didn’t show up as pink as I wanted it to but I’m sure if it was applied with MAC Fix Plus on a brush then it would have a lot more payoff. My favorite shades from these swatches were Trimmed a metallic green, Plum Pudding a metallic reddish purple, Unwrap Me a holographic neon purplish pink, and Christmas Carol a metallic dark blue!
And the last swatches were the three face products at the bottom of the palette. I really enjoyed them all. There was #Blessed which was a white gold highlighter, this was smooth and super pigmented! Then there was the blush in shade Will You Merry Me? This Blush was a little bit more on the chalky side and the blush had a shimmer to it. Personally, the only shimmer blush I like is NARS Super Orgasm or Orgasm otherwise I don’t typically use a heavily shimmered blush. And lastly was the bronzer in Chocolate Soleil, the bronzer had a pretty golden hue and was extremely pigmented!
I did a pretty neutral shadow look with this palette because I loved how well the neutral shadows blended! I used Marshmallowed all over my lid to soften the primer I used. Then I used the mauve pink shade Love Actually as my transition shade. I then applied Faux Fur Only to the outer corners of my eye and blended that into my crease! I then finished the look off by taking the shades Halo and Slay Bells and applying that to my lid and inner corners of my eye and then I applied Love Actually To my lower lash line and smoked it out!
I hope you enjoyed reading and comment down below your favorite shade from this palette!
