Beauty Boxes

Battle of The Beauty Boxes: November

Yes, it’s that time of the month again! Beauty boxes is something I definitely look forward to every month! I really love getting them because it’s like always getting a little gift sent to you in the mail.

Let’s start with my favorite beauty box, Boxycharm! This month I was sent four travel sized Luxie eyeshadow brushes. I personally use Luxie brushes daily, so I loved receiving these mini ones to throw in my travel makeup bag! I also was sent Cover|FX illuminating setting spray, for me, using this was odd. It was a little too much sparkle for all over my face but I’ll definitely use it for my body, to highlight my collarbones and such. I got three all natural collagen infused lip masks by KNC Beauty, as well as a red lipstick in shade Sunshower by Laqa & Co.’s Cloud Lips, as well as a Boxycharm limited edition Winky Lux Kitten Palette.

Reviewing the Laqa & Co. lip color, as I swatched the lipstick, it felt super silky and had a satin finish. The problem I faced with this lipstick product was… while I was removing the swatch with a makeup wipe I realized that it had stained my skin. So if you are subscribed to Boxycharm, be aware of this if you received the lip product. To review the Winky Lux Kitten Palette; the shades in this palette were super cool and had great pigmentation. I will more than likely do a swatch post, eye-look and review on this palette.

Next is ipsy! This month I got one of my favorite blushes, Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour blush! I got it in the shade Feisty which is a pinky burnt-orange shade. I also got a deluxe size of MAC’s Prep+Prime NaturalRadiance which is a pretty good product! I also got skyn Iceland’s berry lip fix, this is supposed to smooth and renew lips. I tried it and it burned my lips at first, and then got really cold. I wasn’t a big fan of that sensation, so this is a no from me. I also was sent a barfly highlighter, and a Crown blush brush.

I love the pigmentation and long-lasting effect of this blush. I’ve always enjoyed Tarte blushes, and I love this one too, especially the shade it came in! With the barfly highlighter, I swatched it on my arm and it went on as a cream highlighter and blended out really nicely into a powder-like highlighter. This highlighter was in the shade Candlelit, it was really pretty but subtle.

And lastly, Birchbox. This month I was sent a Rene Futerer intense nourishing mask for very dry hair, Klorane shampoo and conditioner with mango butter, Vasanti BrightenUp New Skin Amplifying Moisturizer, stila HUGE extreme lash mascara, and Tocca perfume sample in Emelia. I wasn’t a really big fan of this months Birchbox.

So the winner of the beauty box battle this month was Boxycharm! The Boxycharm box won this month because I absolutely loved getting the lip masks, the palette and setting spray were super cool to receive and I like the travel Luxie brushes!

I hope you enjoyed reading this and comment down below what box you’d choose as the winner!

P.s. this post counts for 11/14/17 for the giveaway!
